Yes and Ive been approve since 2001 and DEC 17 2009 is when they acknowledge that i would be getting ssdi instead of ssi and so the same im fed up so this is what i do now i call every 2 week s and send mail to the office of operation who handle the retro back payments every two weeks why because they don`t have a problem telling you you owe them money so i put the pressure back on them saying and writing them hay you owe me and where is my back pay just google to get mailing address from social security.

There will always be variations in experiences with disability lawyers like Binder & Binder. I also hired them, but for the most part, they were more of an asset than a liability. They stuck by me through 3 years of denials, & were invaluable in their presentation of my case at my hearing. So far, I have no complaints. I previously applied to SS several times on my own & was always denied.

Good question! Mine was approved in October, 2009 and I`m still waiting for my back pay. I inquired at my local SSA office a couple of weeks ago and they told me my lawyer hasn`t been payed yet. They couldn`t tell me how long it would take. All I know is that no one I know who is getting disability had to wait this long for their back pay. It`s pushing my patience to it`s limit! :-(.

You do not get 3 installments the first month-crazy-at times they split the backpay into 3 payments,in 4 month increments-----and you have with in 90 days to spend them b4 they start counting it as part of your assests,which you may wanna do,to avoid being penalized on other programs you may be on-aka housing foodatamps ect.

After being approved as disability benefits there could be a 6 to 12 month wait till I recieve my first check.there is a social security disability check that is into the picture.For some it has arrived way before the long wait once approved Allen Corner.

In general it takes around 3 to 4 months to have the disability tax credit approved. Generally the delays in having the disability tax credit approved are due to some issue with the documents needed for the same. Allen Darkman.

I havent got an approval letter for my SSI yet but I have an appt with SS to bring in my direct deposit info. what does that mean? i have a lawyer handling my case and all my medical records have been sent in. its been 6 months.

Once approved you should see your first check within a week. Sometimes I have heard of people in new jersey getting their check before their ssi approval letter. You will get 3 installments the first month.

2-3 months from completion of medical. Essentially, its 6 months from the date of application. We applied for my wife on Aug 19 and got approved Jan 19.
