There is a Free trade agreement between US and Australia so if goods are USA made there is no duty on arrival. There is a 10% GST on all cargo into Australia. Charging of international calls is primarily based on your service provider. As for my experience when im on international roaming i get charged for both my outgoing and incoming calls and text messages. Yes, you can. As long as you pay the respective tax and inform the post office about the nature of your package, so they can handle you the necessary forms ( if any).
