I went to a primary care doctor because I was bitten by a tick and then had the bull`s eye mark. I expected to have a blood test before taking antibiotics and a follow-up blood test. I ended up having 4 office visits, although I always went expecting the second blood test, which was not done until the fourth visit. Six months after the first appointment, I received a bill for all the office visits at once, which my insurance did not cover, for $1,044.00. Other than the lyme`s disease, I am extremely healthy. In the same predicament myself, i was just looking at the Canada Payments Association website, http://www.cdnpay.ca/faqs/cheques.asp, which said a cheque is stale dated after 6 months, unless certified. Under a different question, they said a certified cheque could only be returned for 3 reasons, none of which had to do with the date or age.
