Letting agents are a little overrated. If you wish to save some good money don`t use them as intermediates. Just give some local paper announcement and rent your house on your own. You will still have to pay taxes for renting a house, the last thing you want is the letting agents to stick their finger in your pocket. They get about 10-15% of your rent. Jack Collins

For HDC-financed middle-income apartments, if you apply during the lottery process, you do not have to pay a broker`s fee. However, if apartments remain unoccupied after the lottery process, the owner may hire a broker to help rent these apartments. If you apply for the apartment through this broker, you may be required to pay a broker`s fee of no more than one-half of one month`s rent for the apartment you are renting.
