You just simply put your name and the address that the bank has for you with your account number telling them that you would like to change your address, then just write what your new address is. Don`t forget to give them your current phone number in case they need to contact you. Chase2913 156691

It is a simple letter in plain paper addressed to the Branch Manager that your address got changed now and want to incorporate the new address and you may please mention your New Address also in your letter. You need to attach the address proof also. Bank will make the necessary noting as soon as your letter is received at the Bank.

Your credit report is YOUR responsibility. If you want it to be maintained accurately, YOU have to check it periodically and inform the credit bureaus about errors. There is no government agency that does this and no watchdog group to oversee them. To make matters worse, the credit reporting agencies DON'T CARE if the information they collect about you is correct or accurate. All they care about is making a dollar off of your name. That is why it is up to you to monitor your credit report constantly. I personally recommend every three months, but as a minimum you should be doing it once a year. There is no particular format you need to use to have the information disputed or corrected or even added. All you have to do is write a letter giving them the correct information and ordering them to update your file. Or you can hire someone to do it for you. I would be happy to do it for you. But that would cost you much more than the price of a piece of paper, some printer ink and a stamp and envelope. Once you have issued them the order to correct, add or modify information about your report they have 30 days to comply. Make sure you do this right, though. Certified, return receipt mail. And do yourself a favor, keep the receipt. I cannot tell you how many times my clients have used the return receipt and then thrown the receipt away. i've been with natwest since early 2003 - i opened a student account with them in my final year of university. i graduated the same year and since then i've used the account as my primary current account; my salary goes into it monthly and all my direct debits etc are from this account. yesterday i called action line to change my address as i have just moved flats. that was fine, but i was told my account was due for review so i said fine and was put through to another person (after a few minutes waiting on hold). he asked a few questions and then said my account was still set as a student/graduate account. he even checked my account number and sort code again because apparently it's just not possible for this to be the case 5 years after graduation (and yes, i told them when i would graduate when i applied for the account)! anyway, he hummed and harred for a bit and then declared he would have to speak to the graduate team. after another 7 minutes waiting on hold on my mobile he came back and simply said that i need to go to my branch to sort this out and said goodbye! now, i would have thought that all that needs to happen is that they change my account to a current plus account. i currently have the same £1600 interest free overdraft i had when i applied for the account, but i've not gone into it for years so i've no issue with them taking this away. for some reason however, the account review person didn't seem to think i could switch account types like this over the phone. the problem now is that it's not possible for me to get to the branch where i opened my account because i work monday to friday. i'm not keen on taking a days holiday to fix a mistake natwest have made by not automatically changing my account type, particularly if i can solve it another way (isn't there always supposed to be another way with natwest). so, i want to know from anyone who has experienced a similar issue how best to solve it? if i just write a letter to my branch explaining the situation will this suffice? surely it can't be that difficult to just change my account type? any advice would be appreciated.

Normally your account switches over automatically. Even when it switches over your overdraft still remains so I can't see it will be a problem. I think writing to the branch will suffice. If they need to contact you they can call you - it's their fault after all!

To whom it may concern, I have just checked my personal student account via internet banking and realised that there was a $5 service fee charged. I'm aware of the fact that it's July and I haven't renewed my status as a student this year, but I am out of the country at the moment and will not be back until mid August hence I will not be able to come into the bank to renew my status. Is it possible to send the bank a copy of my current student card and enrollment letter as a proof of my status? My home address is also changed.
