Q. Electrician jobs in canada?

i've always been interested on going to canada and immigrate there and i always thought my skill(electrician) can take me there?. im 21 and fully qualified in new zealand. i was wondering if anyone can give me info on what step i should take on getting a job in canada and where the best places are to apply for?. i have always been interested in the places of canada such as alberta and bc but wouldnt mind working in the northern terrirtories , since it would be an adventure for me. any good feedbacks appreciated.

Q. How much are tools in the usa?

i was wondering: i am an electrician. i just started in industrial work which means lots more hand tools (hundreds of dollars). i wanna make sure i get the best deal. is it cheaper to buy tools in the states or in canada. i live in canada (bc) about 15 minutes from the border. anyone have an idea?

Q. Tenant threatening to sue....what do i have to prove?

a tenant is threatening to take me to court stating that repairs have not been made that have been requested. however, the only repair request came friday night. they say their is a short somewhere because they (the one) touched their radiator and got shocked. this is baffling because there is not electric through the radiator. i did call the electrician/plumber though just so he could check it out and be sure. i informed them today that he would be here tomorrow morning as well as gave them a warning for some lease violations. when i came home tonight that is when they infromed us that they talked to a lawyer and will be taking us to court if all repairs aren't made. when asked what repairs they still won't say and just said they told their lawyer all of them. then they again stated that she got shocked when she touched the radiator in the bedroom. they were told that even the electrician is baffled bc there is no electric through it but he is coming tomorrow just like their letter said today. they are also angry bc their warning was in letter form. i explained to them when they moved in everything i do is in writing and usually sent or hung to the door. mostly because i leave about 5 am and many people are not up i also go to bed very early and rarely get to see the tenants. first of all is it wrong of me to give notices as opposed to waiting to when i can catch up with tenants (this is how i have always done things and it has never been an issue and is nice bc everything is always in writing) secondly, if they take me to court do i have to prove that they never made a repair request? if so, how do i prove that? or, do they have to prove the that did make requests? i have their signed lease, the warning i have given them as well as all other memos that have been given right down to the reminder of due rent (bc they had had a couple consecutive lates and were running late again that month so i simply sent a reminder that rent is due on the 1st not received by the 3rd then a late charge as stated in the lease) they claim they spoke to a lawyer and he is taking the case for free for them but i don't really believe anything they say as i have caught them in somany lies. they like to twist things to suit them. thanks for the answers!!! exactly what i was thinking but it is a comfort to hear it from others. the electrician is bringing the thingy to test currents (sorry not my expertise) but i know that they like to threaten. they threatened before to withhold rent bc they wanting me to give permission for them use another tenant's belonging which i wouldn't do. i am sure they are also mad that they wanted me to fill out a form for 2009 saying they paid rent here so they could get $ back (some type of rent rebate). i refused to sign it because they did not reside here until 2010 but they pay more rent here than their last apartment and wanted a bigger rebate

Q. How can i overcome computer addiction?!? please read & help me! thanks?

i'm in pretty desperate shape of either getting caught or fired if i don't stop!!! i have a boring job, data entry clerk, sit in my office all day and enter in a few paper work per day. most times i have nothing to do. i hardly socialize with my boss bc he's always out in the file;s working with mechanics or electricians. i feel horrible bc i don't come to him or socialize with him. (he's a fairly easy going guy) while i'm bored all day, i entertain myself by scanning threw the web 10 hours a day. i maybe put 10 min. into my work a day. pretty sad. i either go online to check my yahoo, go on facebook, twitter, or blogger and read/post blogs! i have a huge addiction problem & don't know what to do, it's like a drug, i'm hooked, ya know! anyways, most websites are blocked, of course, but not all, and i take advantage of them. i want to speak up and tell my boss my problem and the reason why i don't concentrate, but i'm scared i could get fired right then and there. granted i love my job! people would die to have a job like mine. i work for state job @ a sewer district (not a good smell), paid holidays, sick, vacation, work 4/10's, work in an office all day typing pm's in and etc. i just get bored quickly. sometimes i don't realize how fast time has gone by bc i'm glued to the computer screen. i need help!!!!!! thanks & god bless! ps: i thought about telling our computer tech. to block all sites i'm addicted to! not sure how that would go.

Q. My boyfriend's stepdad cheating on his mom?

hi everyone, i decided to ask this question because the past 2 days i have been really uncomfortable with this situation. i have been with my boyfriend for a year, he lives with his mom and step dad. the problem here is that his stepdad is trying to go out with my boss. i work at a shoe store, and a few days ago my boyfriend's stepdad went alone to my job to buy a pair of sandals, i was working with my boss that night, it seems that he liked her he was flirting with her the whole time, and even invited her to ride his motorcycle. i didn't really took it seriously that day, even though i felt uncomfortable. he is the kind of men who loves to joke around with everyone. but yesterday, this pig passed by the store when my boss was by herself to invite her to go out. she told me as soon as i came in, i couldn't believe it! i have to admit that she is little slutty, and she is 49 years old. but that does not give this old man the right to do something like that! now i find myself trapped against the wall bc i really don't want to make a mess in this family, and i know for sure my boyfriend will react badly. i mean if this guy is capable of doing this with someone very close to me, imagine what he has been doing all these years. the other sad part is that i feel bad for my boyfriend's mom because she is the nicest woman in the world, and she is been supporting this stupid man for two years since he was laid off, this a...hole has been living off the unemployment for all this time, he doesn't want to take any kind of job bc he still thinks he will get hired as an electrician, but he is like 56 years old now. she works over time everyday, and he stays home watching freaking tv, and besides that he can't wait until my boyfriend finish paramedic school so he can give more money to them. i understand my boyfriend has to help his mom, she deserves it, but i dont want him to help this man whose been cheating on his mom for god knows how long. my mom told me that i should shut my mouth on don't get involved in this, i think thats what i should do, but this situation is eating me inside, i feel so bad for her and now i can't look him in the face, much less her. please what should i do??? he thinks that i dont know, but he may notice bc i haven't been treating him the same. thanks to everyone who cares enough to help me.
