"Lets first consider the population and consider statistics from sales worldwide also business versus pleasure..."

If we ask ourselves how many computers are in American(USA) homes? Lets first consider the population and consider statistics from sales worldwide also business versus pleasure. Would we consider a laptop a computer, or should they have a hard drive. Shall we look at it over a ten year period beginning from 2000. A household may potentially have even more than one as most young adults are not leaving home as they are unable to secure mortgages for a new home of their own. Shall we consider the type and model of the computer? Roger Franklin

    Q. Didn’t the rich help make america great, too?.?
didn’t the rich help make america great, too?. in a recent campaign speech, sen. hillary clinton said, “it is not rich people who made america great, it is hardworking americans.” if you are rich, or know someone who is rich, this statement might strike you as extremely odd. when used in the same sentence, the terms “rich” and “hardworking” make for redundant prose. the rich are frequently driven by a relentless work ethic that causes them to toil extremely long hours in their chosen professions. successful entrepreneurs, in fact, are rarely successful retirees, given the certain high they get from working hard. and unless they’re among the small percentage of americans who inherited their wealth, they have become successful — and rich — only because they have solved previously unmet market needs. indeed, contrary to the perception that the rich exploit their way to wealth, the surest path to riches involves fulfilling the desires of the vast majority of people who are not rich. for that alone, the rich are central to what has made america great. if you are in doubt about this fact, why not revisit a little business history. that john d. rockefeller, forever synonymous with the word “rich,” named his company standard oil was no accident. at the time, the kerosene that americans used to light their homes claimed an average of 6,000 deaths per year. but his consolidation of the previously inefficient and unwieldy kerosene industry made for a commodity that was increasingly accessible and safe for all americans to use. safe and efficient became the new standard. and while thomas edison did not invent the light bulb, he created the first commercially viable incandescent bulb for the masses. in founding edison electric, thanks to financing from the very rich j.p. morgan and the affluent vanderbilt family, he made plain that “we will make electricity so cheap that only the rich will burn candles.” edison’s electricity innovations of course threatened standard oil’s kerosene products with obsolescence, but with henry ford’s founding of his eponymous car company in 1903, there was soon an even greater need for oil byproducts. ford, who died a very rich man, created the model t in 1908 with the average american in mind. and sure enough, the $825 price tag in 1908 fell every year thereafter, thus enabling more and more americans to experience the freedom that comes with motorized transportation. see the progression? one entrepreneurs’ innovation leads to more innovation and more rich entrepreneurs. the story continues . . . with americans increasingly traveling by car, howard johnson created a roadside restaurant chain of the same name in 1925. by 1952 it was the largest restaurant chain in the world — one that included affordable lodging for an american population on the go. recognizing that there was room for more entrants in this space, ray kroc bought the small mcdonald’s chain of restaurants and arguably made it the best-known brand name in the world. then, as america’s middle class grew, consumer needs expanded, opening the door for sam walton who in 1962 founded the first wal-mart in bentonville, arkansas. while walton’s creation made him america’s richest man, he enriched his customer base by offering previously inaccessible goods not only at low prices, but eventually the lowest prices possible. to this day, wal-mart shoppers get a “raise” every time they walk into one of these stores. more modernly, we have our mega-moguls in the technology space. bill gates’s creation of microsoft made computer-operating software available to the masses while enabling both individuals and businesses to become exponentially more efficient. and the fact that computers are increasingly the norm in businesses, classrooms, and homes is in no small part due to michael dell’s innovations with inventory management. dell made hardware that was once unique, ubiquitous. notably, our rich entrepreneurs didn’t stop improving our lives with their commercial genius. from rockefeller to ford to gates, they have established foundations that have and will continue to tackle the problems of education, poverty, and health that vex us to this day. and for tomorrow’s entrepreneurs, the wealth accumulated by our business forebears will serve as capital for new innovations that will continue to make our lives better and more fulfilling. hillary clinton wants to distinguish between the rich and the hardworking. but the two are not mutually exclusive. and while the senator is correct in lauding the efforts of industrious americans, she is unwise to demean the staggering efforts of the vital few rich who have done so much to make america great.

"Many rich people supported the revolution for economic reasons..."

Many rich people supported the revolution for economic reasons. One of my ancestors was very active in financing the revolution, and you will find his signature on a lot of continental currency. He risked his life but he did it in hopes of reaping rewards himself every bit as much as for a new nation. I don't like Hillary, not even a little, but she is correct on this one. Those who become rich do so more by random happenstance than any other reason with the possible exception of those who disregard the law and human values. Many are good people. Had fate decreed that some other person end up with the chain of events that made them rich, that person might have been good too. Your concept of the staggering efforts of the rich is really kind of funny.

Bush didn't cheat the 1st time. They had 3 re- counts and it showed the same every time.Democrats are big crybabies. You cheated wah wah wah wah.Get over it already it was 8 years ago and the man won fair and square. And yes if Osama Bin Biden DOES lose, we expect to see all you 10 yr old like crybabies (who love the idea of a President who has terrorists for friends and a racist preacher for 20 years and who wants to turn this great nation into a marxist socialist puke stain) cry again. And really think about it a second. If he DID cheat( which he didn't) I guess that goes to show how plain stupid the Democrap party is that they couldn't stop him.I wouldn't really be bragging about that if I were you.

    Q. Is america getting lazy?
hmmm. i go into the grocery store today and i noticed at the deli counter you now have to enter your order over a touch screen computer. your number comes out like the dmv to be called in order received. it does not matter whether your order is for 1/2lb of pasta salad, this is how it's done now. what can you not talk to anyone anymore?? as well as i noticed when you go to the check out lanes in the grocery store. the lanes do it for you while you enter your stuff in the computer. what happened to the good old days of cashiers?? i mean yeah they have them, but only 1 or 2. this technology i am against because it puts people out of jobs right?? i mean what do the employees do then ? other positions in the grocery store? i think this eliminates having to hire so many employees now to perform the cashier position because a machine now enables you to do it yourself. what also happened to when you would call your utilities customer service, someone would actually pick up the phone right away?? now everything is automated via phone and seems to be a challenge to get through the directory menu without cursing out the automated voice not understanding you every other word. half of the time you don't even reach anyone to speak to personally. just the freaking machine. now gas stations are starting to put flat panel tv's on top of the gas station pump catching you up on latest sports news etc while you pump gas. this would be understandable in a sports restaurant in the bathroom. seriously, i mean are people that impatient to get home to catch up? there is dvr that is cheap to rent from the cable company where you won't miss a thing now. automatic vacuum cleaners that vacuum for you now. i could go on forever. the list goes on. my question is, is america getting lazy??? or is it america's way to tell us technology is eventually going to take over and we have to do nothing except grow crops out of our back yard in a tent we end up living in because the housing market is raiding our wallets?

"Be stupid and to rely on the computer to know everything?computers crash and they're..."

I feel strongly about a lot of things just as you do and I as well could get on a soap box and go on forever. I feel that we're just changing with the times and yes in some cases it does seem like Americans are becoming lazy. We're old school, so, we like going to the cashiers. We also like to talk to a person instead of an automated system. With progress, some things are for the better and some things were better beforehand. I feel that Americans are becoming so self absorbed that they've forgotten their common courtesy/ manners towards their fellow americans. I can add to your list here of irritating things. Some time ago we were at the movie theater and the teenage girl's computer went out at the concession stand. She had to get help from another co-worker on what to do. CRAZY, like you don't know how to count back change to someone. What the hell are they teaching our kids of today it's ok to be stupid and to rely on the computer to know everything?Computers crash and they're only as good as the person doing the computer data which you have to allow for human error. These are the self absorb idiots we have to rely on to run our future country. What a depressing thought. Lazy, stupid, disrespectful of others & their property, what a shame that we've apparently gotten so busy in our daily lives that we can't even take time out to have manners any longer. There's some of us still around but, we're a dying breed. LOLOLOL take care and thanks for allowing me to share along with you. have a nice weekend.

    Q. America's best dance crew question
ok, is it only me that feels like the show just isn't as exiting since asiid left? i used to be so exited for the show everyweek but now, it's just like"oh that's on i guess i'll watch", and i will usually watch it while on the computer whereas it used to get my full attention before. am i being biased or do others feel the same way? also did anyone else think soreal cru copied supreme soul with their opening sequence this week? i was quite bothered that they got all this praise and credit for that as if it were original. i am very bothered with the order n which people have gone home this whole season. what do you all think the correct order should have been?

    Q. Cool tip on recovering my web function?
i have put avalon to work to regroup all the radio graphic programs received outside the web connection. freedom has only 24,5 g on the windows disc : crypt has another 80 g, navidad the usb memory has 328 g left to receive and regroup. i may not enter the workspace where avalon does the job, but i also need to get access to the savant project in a netherlands not able to accept life as the web knows it. any more problems ? my digital electric meter, shows in the reports, that the dutch government has taken hold of all the systems>: instead of having to pay for a bill i did not leave unpaid, i should have received my first engagement, with a fat cheque of € 1042,00, and they fought me in illegal court case over € 759,00. if this keeps up where can i ever develope web's speach on philosophy any further? our joint effort shows, that america's home windows, is much more psychology wise, then the original version copies were given in legal building. a government shoould not forget in any way, that homenet, is the mystical streamer of a web in full function i would start an exhibition space. rob in kerkstraat own private network. he has no artast name yet, and he asks me for an upgrade to four. pentium 3 with a higher ram network art production. in the middle of the city a corner shop would be a giant forward, when the magic hourglas als has a meaning for people i suppose. enigma, andromeda, would jump at the chance for a real live exposition. a 25000 starter credit for an official function and freebee is hard to commit into a practical plan. communbity guidelines you are so highly involved in this project, i would not mind some of your programs input in how to hijjack social community back to the proper work? you made very good use of our tiny sub project:" excuse my faulty board. maybe i am strict in sense i cannot make my associate understand, when i feel web in stage it functions at the moment is a gift from a technocrat. our art should be quuite popular i assume. only a shame i cannot give another painting today to the web. the magic hour glass is part of the worlds university projects in our hardware psychology. arnhem does have a higher arts college, but i wonder if in germany another school would be the first to start up hand computer drawing as a means for systems to gain more artists and such. the retrieval of my personal things is rather problematic in this town. there is no way those people in black can continue this way of oppressing people. frome balkenende and his gang no news yesterday. an immediate suspension at the start of the new political year in presence of all the high blokes from universities? he has nothing in his systems network, they all have my signature???? dangerously mad i say. he has killed every possibility for us single web mums on the job, to become independant from welfare. our energy companies do not even pay taxes. that is what the hardest workers have to fork out of their wages, which are too low. anyhow dtc belhuis & internet is a cool web friend of mine. cheaper than the official state, but grey is a secure internet explorer. any function you can think of and not far from my own home. my last change went into this one so i guess i am totally broke for the rest of the month. my grants never were obtainable. while i also am registered in the web as a miljonaires since 1996????? sorry the postcode moneytrain was a scam to pay up for the state's gambling debts.....

With respect M'lady, what the hell are you on about ?

    Q. I asked god to send me a message when i slept so what does this dream mean?
things are going badly in my life. i am unemployed, declared bankruptcy and losing my house. i am having no luck finding a job and my marriage has had problems for years. the only great thing are my kids. before going to bed i asked god to send me an answer on what to do. this was the dream. i was in an office with a small woman and she was showing me a computer screen that had a database of videos (that were like the ones shown on america's funniest home videos) and told me that they were free content for a website. i said that is great because i have a website called www.laughingstock.com registered and could use this content to make the site. then i woke up. other points. laughingstock is the name of a humor column i did in college for the school newspaper. i have several website names registered but not laughingstock. lately i have been providing "free content" as a blogger on daddy issues for the detroit news' website. i can't figure out if this is really a message or just subconscious blips coming together. what might it mean?

God always confirms His answer at least 3 times. Keep seeking Him! Tell your flesh to get under the subjection to the will of God.
