"They will need your transcripts from your schools in greece..."

If you are already here, you and your Uncle need to go to the public high school whose boundaries you live in ASAP. If you are unsure which school you would attend, just go to the closest one, they can direct you to the one you should attend, if it isn't that one. Schools will have an office open during the daytime, hours may be short. They will need your transcripts from your schools in Greece. Birth certificate, passport maybe. They will need your Uncle to prove where he lives and if you are under 18 proof of guardianship. Public schools are free. There may be a small (under $150) registration fee. You may have to take a placement test. School begins around middle to end of August and ends about the first of June. School days are about 7:30am to 3:pm. Go meet with admissions at the public high school nearest your Uncle now. They will help you through the process.

This answer closely relates to:
  • Number of days to attend school in greece

Q. What should i wear to my first day of high-school?
hey, so i am starting high-school this fall, and i am wondering what i should wear. i'm kind of stuck between jeans, t-shirt, and hoodie and jeans, long-sleeve, and a greece track jacket. girls, any suggestions?

"You'll see plenty of people semi-dressed up..."

Aw! Are you excited? I'm guessing yes since it's barely summer! :D Go casual, but not "too" casual. You'll see plenty of people semi-dressed up, but jeans and a t-shirt is your best option.

Q. Wut kind of crazy dream.........................................................?
i am in a misty forest. guided by this guide whos unsure and scared himself, we encounter alligators, bears, and a gorilla trying to kill us. but wait, ok it gets weird. this gorilla with her little baby come to kill us. as the mom is about to strangle me, she drops her baby. i pick it up. suddenly it turns into a blue eyed baby. its little legs around my waist makes me so blissful and secure. (i am by the way, no where near being a mother). suddenly, i find myself in a school in greece. (long story, i visit there once and fell in love with it). i walk around and show my adopted son the classrooms. i remeber constantly caressing his cheeck with my nose. then one day i get in a fight with someone. i chase him around and accidently scratch my baby. i decide to go get him a bandaid. clutching him in my arms i run but as i step into the hall i slip and drop him. blood spurring everywhere, he turns into a bunch of worms. i try to peice him back together....wut does this does this dream mean

Watching too much TV. But the first dream does say something about you feeling kinda guilty about taking another creatures baby, but that the gorilla ran away shows that you are pretty sure about adopting was right. Get out more and stop dreaming about it.

"Are naturally and biologically based around bearing children..."

One doesn't have to be a 'mother' to have a child in a dream. Women, especially, are naturally and biologically based around bearing children, so its not uncommon for women to dream of having children or being a mother even if they are in no way close to being such. In such a case, the child usually represents an aspect of the dreamer; hopes, dreams, vulnerabilities. Another thing to remember is that the people in our dreams are either aspects of ourselves or how we think of someone else, not the actual person. In other words, if you dream of your mom, its your mind's idea of your mom, not your actual mom. To continue, the guide in the dream represents yourself; unsure about where you are going. The animals represent fears (foreign, vicious, angry, dangerous) that you have coming to 'get' you. The mother gorilla can be interpreted a few different ways: one is to say that it represents 'female-ness', and thus a reflection of yourself that you are not ready to grasp, or it could represent a task that you feel you are 'responsible' for (mother's have a responsibility to their children) and are afraid of facing it. The baby, thus, could represent either the reward-side of the mother-ness factor (being a mother has its responsibilities but also its rewards as well) or the unexpected gift that the responsibility of the mother gorilla brings. The fact that the baby 'changes' means that your perspective changes, from seeing it as something foreign and dangerous to you, to something that is beautiful and wonderful. the fact that you take your 'baby' to Greece suggests that the baby represents an aspect of yourself that you are only beginning to share. You, of course, are sharing a deeply personal and heartfelt experience and the caressing is a way of reinforcing the bond with your 'son'. The fight symbolizes that connection in jeopardy. The fight results in your 'son' getting hurt, but it also results in your son falling apart due to something you did, however accidental. In other words, something that you are afraid of came at you, but instead of being frightened and overwhelmed by it, it turned into something beautiful. As such, you wanted the beautiful part of it to remain, and thus brought it someplace you thought beautiful (or it reminded you of something personally beautiful.) But the incident of the fight makes you worry that it has been put in jeopardy and that, no matter how hard you try, that you will not be able to keep it from falling apart, turning spoiled. Your mind is simply worried about something unexpectedly beautiful that you have within your grasp.

Q. Want to know who invented school?
well, if you want to dig through all this info., it's fine by me. there are many answers to the question, "who invented school?", but no one really knows. see, school did spread first in greece, but no one specifically thought of it first. many have thought of school, but we do not know who embraced it. for example, if the pencil wasn't invented, and you thought of this invention, someone else must have thought of it, too. so that's why most people don't bother embracing such. but no one is really sure who invented school >*!first!*<. but many have invented school. someone must have embraced it before the government. but the person/people who made it a law that kids have to go to school is the government, as you may have guessed, they have ruined many other things. some information from different sources are supplied here: (if you do not wish to dig into some info, please skip all of the paragraphs in quotation.) (the seljuks introduced the madrassa, a proper school built independently from the mosque. they were also the first to make the madrassa system a public domain under the control of the caliph. as a profession, teaching has very high levels of work-related stress (wrs)[2] which are listed as amongst the highest of any profession in some countries, such as the united kingdom. the degree of this problem is becoming increasingly recognized and support systems are being put into place.teacher education is increasingly recognizing the need for new entrants to the profession to be aware of and trained to overcome the challenges that they will face on the 'mental health' front. schools and their teachers have always been under pressure — for instance, pressure to cover the curriculum, to perform well in comparison to other schools, and to avoid the stigma of being "soft" or "spoiling" toward students. forms of discipline, such as control over when students will and will not speak, and normalized behavior, such as raising one's hand to speak, are imposed in the name of greater efficiency. practitioners of critical pedagogy point out that such disciplinary measures have no positive effect on student learning; indeed, some would argue that disciplinary practices actually detract from learning since they undermine students' individual dignity and sense of self-worth, the latter occupying a more primary role in students' hierarchy of needs.it was an italian in 1843, by the name of vinnie scholars, and was named after him. 100 years ago you'd be saying "bye mom, i'm off to scholars" but with time it gradually got changed to school. i hope this helps.school was invented in 1653 by joseph lariviere from france. school was invented long ago by the clergy rich folk used to send their kids to seminary school to learn in the us in 1660 the clergy mandated that all kids over 8 go to school in the ne unfortunately, we don't know which culture's school came first - many of them developed around the same time. past that, it's just been new takes on an old concept. kids attended school until either their parents needed them to get a job to help support the family, or until they (and their teachers) became frustrated enough to quit. then compulsory (all kids have to go) attendance started, along with the child labor laws; the law decided all kids should attend school until the age of 16, and should not be forced to work to support their families. this law was developed based on the idea that education is a right! education is an important element in being able to fully pursue happiness as adults. it placed the individual's rights above the family's needs. would you rather still be in the late 1800's, working 14 hours per day in a factory without enough food to eat, just to help your parent(s) pay the rent and buy what little food they could? child labor laws and compulsory education protect children from hardships you can't even (obviously) imagine. well, i don't know exactly who invented public school, but horace mann lengthened the school year to about 9 months. the equal education law pretty much is why kids have to go to school. thanks alot, mr. mann. "compulsory education is education which is required by the government." benjamin franklin invented the public school system, as for truancy or mandatory attendance this might have been established according to the individual states, and their needs. for example farming states requirements for attendance would be different then in ny. horace mann created the first board of education so it's his fault mostly for western civilization - meaning europeans and americans - compulsory education was thought by the rulers of prussia to be a task of the state. in 1763 frederick ii ("frederick the great" of prussia) made schooling compulsory for all children between the ages of 5 and 13. in austria, mandatory primary education was introduced by empress maria theresa of austria in 1774. in britain, compulsory state supported education for kids 5 to 10 was mandated well, if you want to dig through all this info., it's fine by me. there are many answers to the question, "who invented school?", but no one really knows. see, school did spread first in greece, but no one specifically thought of it first. many have thought of school, but we do not know who embraced it. for example, if the pencil wasn't invented, and you thought of this invention, someone else must have thought of it, too. so that's why most people don't bother embracing such. but no one is really sure who invented school >*!first!*<. but many have invented school. someone must have embraced it before the government. but the person/people who made it a law that kids have to go to school is the government, as you may have guessed, they have ruined many other things. oh and by the way, if you still don't believe me and want to check it out- don't use wikipedia. it's unreliable. once at school i changed something on wikipedia without a wiki account and without hacking and it saved there
