Most likely it's your cable. If the splitter was bad the the house TV wouldn't work either. Two things can be wrong here. One your cable is bad or your RV tv is not connected properly. Take your cable back and get another one and give it a try.

The unit comes with all the cables you will need. The age of your television will not matter. You will hook up the DVR to the "ANT IN" on your converter.

You need a type of cable that uses the dock connector instead of the headphone jack. The headphone jack video cable was phased out a while ago, so all newer ipods (including yours) will need the newer cable. You can get cheap ones by looking at places like meritline.com or dealextreme.com, but make sure they specifically say they will work on your 4th gen nano. Check the user comments too.

John It doesn't sound like you can connect the TV audio to your HT system. If the only TV audio source that you have is coming via the antenna, then you will need to have an audio out from the TV to send this sound to your HT system. Is it a digital or analog tuner inside your TV? (we still have both options here in the UK at the moment). If it is digital, then you could buy an external digital tuner box (designed for TVs with no internal digital tuner), plug your coax antenna feed into this first, and this would usually have audio outputs to send to your HT.

the dvd player is connected with an rca to coax adapter. we hooked it up but cannot make the dvd player work with the tv. i think it's because there is no video setting on the tv remote. my brother says we need a bf box or something like that. he could not remember what it is called. the back of the tv has no spot for plugs, just coaxial cables. the dvd player is a small coby with a remote.

You need an RF Modulator. You can get them from Radio Shack or other electronics supply store. You plug the video from your DVD player into the modulator, and it gives you a signal on either TV channel 3 or 4 (you can select) on a coax output. You connect the modulator to the TV antenna inputs and tune the TV to the channel you selected. If your TV does not have a coax input (only twin-lead screw heads), you can get a transformer (called a "balun") to convert the coax to twin-lead.

You are correct that you need an antenna. Connect the antenna to the "antenna in" on the TV, make sure the TV is set to "antenna" tuning, not "cable" tuning and then scan for channels. If you are not getting a strong enough signal into the set, it will act as if nothing is there. That would be the difficult thing about a RV, knowing if the TV antenna you have is sufficient (and pointed in the correct direction) for the location you are at the moment. It can work, but it may take a bit of experimenting.

It has a very nice boat launch, showers, electric, and water. The campground also has hiking trials and wildlife trails. Also the lake is a great boating lake because it has Beautiful Turqoise blue water and it is part of the chain of lake.
