Well the decision wouldn't apply to all Motel 6's as they are franchised and each one is individually owned. But generally, lower quality motels like Motel 6 don't require a deposit. They just require ID and payment in full at check-in.

I am not sure about this, but I don't think you can do that. Your best option is to call the motel and ask about their requirements. What they may ask you to do is to make a cash deposit of $200 or $300 in case of damage , and it will be returned when you are checking out.

yes, you can find hotel deals by going directly to a hotel's web site to reserve a room. You might have to reserve your room with a credit card and then pay cash when you arrive. Most Hotels have their own parking garages for your car. I found good deals at Circus Circus when I booked on line, the rooms were decent. Your only in your room to sleep anyways. I drove there and parking was free in their parking garage. As for the Grand Canyon, I worked at their hotels. There are hotels inside and outside the park gates. If you want to be inside the park next to the actual Canyon you need to stay at Xanterra's Lodges. Its the only company that has hotels inside the park. The most expensive is El Tevor, then Bright Angel. Those are both on the rim overlooking the canyon. For less expensive ones in the park are Maswik and another one (the name slipped my mind) If you don't mind staying out of the park gates you can find even cheaper hotels. It's the winter and the rates should be low at both places. Expect Snow! But it's worth the trip it's beautiful there. The snow makes it so pretty. it's also only a four hour drive from Los Vegas. okay-- i work in a motel and normally everything runs smoothly. last night though, i checked in a guest who had already made a reservation (he made the reservation earlier, on someone else's shift), and, sometime after i left at 7 in the morning, he apparently skipped out on his bill. the girl who took his reservation didn't put in a credit card number, though she should have since he was registered to pay cash (phone reservations require a card number just for this reason). i didn't know that there wasn't one on file, so i, as per procedure, didn't charge him anything, assuming he, like everyone else who reserves a room on a card, would pay cash when he checked out. so... my boss tells me when i get here tonight that they will charge me if i don't get in contact with him. seriously, one night's stay here is half my paycheck. does anyone know how to find someone's address, info, etc., when all you have on the guy is a phone number and a video recording of him checking in (to verify in case he claims it wasn't him, but some guy just using his phone number)? i need help fast! if they deduct my check, i won't have money for rent. so, please: tell me if you know anything on how to hunt this bastard down! anyone work in the hotel industry? how do you normally handle this?

Call the cops. What happened was a crime. The police have the ability to track down the person who goes with that number . The problem is that the number may be a fake.
